Legendary South African batsman and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis has said that the hallmark of his captaincy is bringing a sense of calm to the dressing room amidst the stressful atmosphere of the IPL.
Faf du Plessis said that maintaining composure in the dressing room is not easy. It is ensured that the player is in the right environment and mental calm to perform well.
RCB’s du Plessis says that I try to bring a sense of peace in the dressing room. You don’t show people your feelings when you make a mistake. We all have similar feelings.
He further added that it is important as players to realize that when they make a mistake one should not react emotionally to that mistake so that they can come back with a clear and calm attitude.
It helps to improve the atmosphere. Whether you are winning or losing, it is consistency.
He Also Said That As A Captain He Has to Be Firm At Times
Du Plessis said on his captaincy that positive emotions can be good, but the captain needs to be firm from time to time.
Du Plessis said that being firm does not mean that one has to be tough.
Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on Lucknow Super Giants on Wednesday at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
