Amazon on Friday launched its live commerce feature ‘Amazon Live’ in India, where customers can directly interact with content creators and social media influencers and buy products from the links provided in the meantime. With Amazon Live, Amazon.in will run 15 live streams every day from 10 am to 1 pm.
The Company Said That More Than 150 Content Creators are Livestreaming During the ongoing Amazon Great Indian Festival
Kishor Thota, Director, Customer Experience and Marketing, Amazon India said, “Through Amazon Live, Amazon India aims to connect influencers with customers at large, enabling them to make the right purchase.”
In order to do livestreaming on Amazon Live, influencers must have an account with a platform like YouTube or Instagram.
Amazon Live is currently hosting live streams in India in categories like Electronics, Fashion & Beauty and Home Decor.
The company said that more than 70 percent of customers shopping in regional languages on Amazon.in are from Tier 2 and below cities.
Thota said, “Amazon.in continues to make e-commerce more inclusive by reducing barriers for customers across the country, including Tier 2 and below geographies, to enjoy the benefits of online shopping. can.”
