For smooth and comfortable travel of passengers during this festive season, Railways has announced to run 179 special trains. These 179 special trains (in pairs) will run 2269 trips. According to the Ministry of Railways, this decision has been taken in view of the convenience of the railway passengers, in view of the extra rush of passengers.
Special trains will be run on Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Bhagalpur, Delhi-Muzaffarpur, Delhi-Saharsa etc. to connect major destinations across the country.
The ministry has announced deployment of Crowd Control Squad, additional RPF personnel on railway platforms to deal with the festive rush.
Crowd control measures will be taken by creating queues at Terminus stations under the supervision of RPF staff for orderly entry of passengers in unreserved coaches.
Simultaneously, additional RPF personnel have been deployed at major stations to ensure the safety of passengers. Officers on emergency duty have been deployed at major stations to ensure smooth running of trains.
Staff are posted in different sections on priority basis to avoid any disruption of train service. May I Help You booths will be kept operational at important stations to assist the passengers.
Where RPF personnel and TTE will be deputed for proper assistance and guidance of passengers. Medical teams will be available on call at major stations.
Ambulance with paramedical team will also be available. Along with this, overcharging and touting activities etc. are being monitored and closely monitored through the employees of Security and Vigilance Department.
