Industry body CII President Sanjeev Bajaj said the new 5G technology will help India achieve the next stage of digital transformation.
In a statement issued by Ukka, Bajaj said, “The country is heavily dependent on 5G to be a game-changer to enable new use cases and improve efficiency across every industry. With this launch (5G), We are moving towards an inclusive digital transformation by ensuring that digital technologies are universally available, accessible and adoptable, enabling meaningful and secure access to the Internet and digital services for all.”
5G technology in India was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week during the 6th edition of India Mobile Congress (IMC).
Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea- the three major telecom operators of the country had demonstrated the use of 5G technology during the event.
