The Jamaica Tallawahs gave themselves a chance to reach the final by defeating the St. Lucia Kings in the Eliminator. They won by 33 runs and will now move to Qualifier 2 of the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL). In Qualifier 2, Jamaica will face the Guyana Amazon Warriors, who lost to Barbados in the second match of the day.
St Lucia Kings won the toss and opted to bowl first and took full advantage of that decision with a disciplined bowling performance.

Kings restricted Talawas to 29 for 2 in the powerplay as Matthew Ford and Alzarri Joseph bowled exceptionally.

Chasing the target, Kings got off to a good start to reach 54/2 at the end of the powerplay, but the Kings’ wickets continued to fall after du Plessis was dismissed for 41 in the eighth over.
Mohammad Nabi also contributed with the bowling after playing some exceptional shots. Talawas’ bowling unit played its part as the Kings were bundled out for 115 runs.
