Does Your Perfume Last Long

Perfume Last Long

According to a recent report by cosmetic surgery brand Tajmeeli, the demand for long-lasting women’s perfumes is set to increase in 2022 as the fragrance fades more quickly due to warmer weather.

According to the report, since the start of 2022, global search interest has increased by 1,650 percent.

The interest reaches its peak in the summer months and long-lasting perfumes are in high demand in the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and Singapore.

Top 10 Places For Long-Lasting Perfume Searches in 2022:

  • United Arab Emirates
  • Pakistan
  • Singapore
  • Nigeria
  • Philippines
  • New Zealand
  • Malaysia
  • India
  • South Africa
  • United Kingdom

There are an average of 6,400 searches per month for ‘how long does perfume last’, while 5,900 people ask ‘how to make perfume last’. In total, this is 147,600 global searches every year.

Keeping this in mind, the experts at Tajamili have explained why the fragrance doesn’t last long during summers. A spokesperson explains:

“When the sun comes out and the temperature is high, the alcohol in your perfume will evaporate from your skin more quickly. As it evaporates, the scent goes with it.”

“Where you store your perfume can also play a role. Exposure to direct sunlight or damp conditions causes your perfume to spoil in the bottle.”

The good news is that there are some hacks that can help keep your fragrance smelling sweet all summer long—and the secret may lie in a humble lotion.

The fragrance lasts longer on moisturized skin, as it retains the scent. Hence it is less likely to fade.

Before spraying, make sure you apply a light moisturizer to your wrists and neck. Which helps in maintaining the fragrance of the perfume.
