Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Tujjan area of ​​South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Officials gave this information on Tuesday. “One more terrorist was killed (total 02). Search is on,” police said.

One of the two terrorists killed was of Jaish-e-Mohammed, who was involved in the killing of Sub Inspector Farooq Mir.

Mir was shot dead by terrorists on June 18 while working in paddy fields near his home in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

“JeM terrorist Majid Nazir, the killer of SI Farooq Mir has been gunned down in the Pulwama encounter,” J&K Police tweeted quoting Vijay Kumar, Inspector General, Kashmir Zone.

Two encounters are going on between terrorists and security forces in Kashmir on Tuesday in Tujjan area of ​​South Kashmir’s Pulwama district and Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

In the last few months, there have been a series of encounters between terrorists and security forces in Kashmir, in which many terrorists and their commanders have been eliminated.

Most of the operations have been carried out jointly by the police and the army based on specific intelligence inputs.

Seven terrorists, including two Pakistani terrorists, were killed in three counter-insurgency operations in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara, Kulgam and Pulwama districts by the Jammu and Kashmir Police along with the Army in less than 24 hours, officials said on Monday.
