External Affairs Minister of India Dr. S. Jaishankar on Monday presented a cricket bat signed by former captain Virat Kohli to Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles during his tour of Australia.
Marles took to Twitter to share a photo of himself thanking India’s foreign minister for the gift.
Marles wrote, “It’s a pleasure to host Dr. S. Jaishankar in Canberra. There are many things that bind us together, including our love for cricket. Today, he has signed with cricket legend Virat Kohli. Shocked me with the bat.”

Jaishankar is currently visiting Australia to strengthen bilateral ties between the two sides. This is his second tour of Australia this year.
