Foreign Investment in China Increased By 17.4 Percent in the First Half

According to data released by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce on July 29, from January to June this year, China actually used foreign capital of 7 trillion 23 billion 31 million yuan.

The actual use of foreign capital of 5 trillion 37 billion 130 million yuan in the service industry, up 9.2 percent from the same period last year. Actual use of foreign capital in the hi-tech industry increased by 33.6 percent.

South Korea, the US and Germany’s investments in China increased by 37.2 per cent, 26.1 per cent and 13.9 per cent, respectively.

The actual use of foreign capital in China’s east, central and western regions was higher by 15.6 per cent, 25 per cent and 43.9 per cent, respectively.
