This is the first death of a child suffering from AES in Muzaffarpur this year. Earlier, two more children in SKSMH have lost their lives due to this disease. One of them was from Sitamarhi and the other from Vaishali district.

According to the health department data, so far this year there have been 45 cases of AES, out of which 41 patients were discharged after recovery.

29 AES patients have been found in Muzaffarpur district. Most of the victims have come from Kudhni and Kanti. Four cases each have been reported in these two blocks.

Here, after the girl’s death from AES, Civil Surgeon Dr. Umesh Chandra Sharma reached the girl’s house and met her family members. He appealed to the people to take precautions.

It is noteworthy that with the onset of summer, the outbreak of AES is seen in Muzaffarpur and its surrounding areas. This disease occurs mostly in children. So far this year, however, the number of patients has been seen less.
