The Delhi Police on Thursday registered an FIR against an unidentified person for allegedly calling a 21-year-old girl in South Delhi’s Ambedkar Nagar.
A senior police officer said that they received a complaint in this regard, following which an FIR was registered.
The senior police officer said, “Yesterday at 5 pm, a PCR call was received regarding harassment and stalking in PS Ambedkar Nagar.
Police personnel reached the spot where the 21-year-old told that he was being abused by some unknown mobile numbers.
Phone calls are coming in. Based on the complaint, a case has been registered under sections 354 (d) and 509 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).”
A police team has been formed to investigate the matter.
Further investigation is being done.
