Honor and Apple Dominate the Chinese Smartphone Market in the Second Quarter

Smartphone shipments in China declined 10 per cent year-on-year (YOY) in the second quarter of 2022, with just 67.4 million units shipped. This information has been given in a new report.

According to Canalys, Vivo was at the first position with 13.2 million units shipped, followed by Honor with 13 million units. Oppo (including OnePlus) finished in the top three with 11.8 million units shipping.

Honor and Apple achieved the best year-on-year growth among top sellers, Canalys analyst Toby Zhu said in a statement. Honor has consolidated its top five positions in just one year.

Xiaomi came in fourth with 10.6 million units, while Apple stood at fifth place with 9.9 million units.

As per the report, high-end Android launches from local brands like Vivo X80 series, Oppo Find X5 series, Honor Magic 4 series and Xiaomi Mi 12 Ultra are in full swing.
