Actress Parineeti Chopra has shared that she had to learn the Israeli martial art form Krav Maga for three months to play her role as an elite agent in the film ‘Code Name Tiranga’.
Developed for the Israel Defense Forces, Krav Maga is derived from a combination of techniques used in aikido, judo, karate, and boxing and wrestling.
Parineeti says, “One of the key action techniques of an agent is the handshake, so I learned Krav Maga, a form of martial arts, for a total of 3 months to perfect my action sequences.”
She adds, “Most of my fight sequences were against men who were much taller than me like stunt man and co-actor Sharad Kelkar and sometimes fight sequences required him to fight with his entire body weight.”

“And the next day the most I need makeup is not on my face, but to hide my injuries. I am very happy with the way people are liking my action shots in the trailer and that is a big deal for me. Someone like me who has never done action as a genre before.”
‘Code Name Tiranga’ also stars Parineeti opposite Hardy Sandhu and is slated to release on October 14.
