Second Case of Monkeypox in India Reported in Kerala


The second case of monkeypox in India has been reported in Kerala. State Health Minister Veena George has given this information. He said the 31-year-old man, who returned to Kerala from Dubai, is undergoing treatment at the Pariyaram Medical College Hospital in Kannur.

Monkeypox Disease Has Been Confirmed in the Man

George said that the patient’s condition is fine and he is under the supervision of doctors. All the people who came in close contact with him have been isolated.

The first case in the country was reported in Kollam, Kerala on July 14, when a man from the United Arab Emirates was confirmed to have monkeypox.
