Suspected Case of Monkeypox Found in Nepal

A suspected case of monkeypox has come to light in Nepal, adjacent to India.

According to reports, a Nepalese youth is suspected to have monkeypox virus at Sukarraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital (STIDH) in Teku, Kathmandu.

According to STIDH, a young man from Dubai is being monitored for monkeypox-like symptoms. The 27-year-old suspected patient had fever on Thursday and red blisters were visible on his body and hands.

It Has Been Said By the Hospital That At Present His Health is Normal.

Infectious disease expert Sher Bahadur Pun said a sample has been sent to the National Public Health Laboratory to ascertain whether the blisters on the man’s body and hands were caused by the monkeypox virus.
