Udaipur Accused Will Be Interrogated in Rajasthan Itself, NIA Changed Plan Due to Fear of Attack

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has decided to interrogate two main accused Riyaz Akhtari and Ghaus Mohammad in the broad daylight beheading case of a man named Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur, Rajasthan.

Sources in the agency said it has received vital inputs that both the accused may be attacked by different outfits and hence has decided to interrogate them in Rajasthan to avoid any untoward incident.

Earlier it was reported that NIA will bring both the main accused to Delhi for questioning.

A Source Said, “There Are Many More People Involved in the Incident

It was a big conspiracy which was well planned. All those involved in the conspiracy to commit the murder have not been arrested yet.

We Don’t want any untoward incident. We have inputs that the accused may be attacked. Hence, we have postponed the plan to take them to Delhi.”

NIA sources claimed that the accused could be part of a bigger conspiracy.

In 2014, Ghaus went to Karachi, where he came in contact with a fundamentalist organization Dawat-e-Islami. Since then he was in contact with her.

Both the accused recorded a video after beheading Kanhaiya Lal, saying that he avenged the insult to Islam.
