Anurag Thakur, the sports minister, gave an overview of the nation’s preparation for the Commonwealth Games on Thursday at a meeting of the Mission Olympic Cell (MOC).

Former athletes, including Olympic medal-winning wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt, Olympic gold medalist long jumper Anju Bobby George, hockey international Viren Rasquinha, table tennis standout Monalisa Baruah, and shuttler Trupti Murgunde were present at the MOC meeting.

“The athletes are currently undergoing full-scale preparation. While examining the practices, the minister remarked, “I am pleased that the momentum of training and competition has been improved post-Olympics, and we can hope for continuous success post-Olympic and Paralympic.
