YouTube introduces Handles, a new way for people to easily find and connect with creators and each other on the Google-owned streaming platform. Handles will appear on channel pages and shorts so that they are immediately recognizable.
It will soon be easier and faster to mention each other in comments, community posts, video descriptions, and more.
The company said in a blogpost, “Handles combine channel names as another way of identifying a YouTube channel, but unlike channel names, handles are actually unique to each channel, so creators add their own unique features to YouTube. presence and brand.”
Next Month, the Platform will Notify Creators When They Can Choose A Handle For Their Channel
The company said, “In most cases, if a channel already has a personalized URL, it will automatically become their default handle, or as soon as the notification comes to YouTube Studio, they will change the handle for their channel. You can choose to change.
“Since handles must be unique and every channel on YouTube will have one, we are releasing them gradually.”
