BCCI Naman Awards 2026: Gill, Dravid, Mandhana Honoured at Ceremony

Shubman Gill wins Polly Umrigar Award, Rahul Dravid receives CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement honour, and Smriti Mandhana named Best International Cricketer (Women) at BCCI Naman Awards 2026.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) hosted its annual Naman Awards ceremony in New Delhi on Sunday, honouring some of the biggest names in Indian cricket for their outstanding contributions during the 2024-25 season and beyond.
Shubman Gill Wins Polly Umrigar Award
India's Test and ODI captain Shubman Gill has been named the Best International Cricketer (Men) for the 2024-25 season, receiving the prestigious Polly Umrigar Award. The recognition comes on the back of a stellar year for the young captain, who has firmly established himself as one of India's most consistent performers across formats.
Rahul Dravid Receives Lifetime Achievement Honour
Former India captain and recently concluded head coach Rahul Dravid was awarded the Col. C.K. Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award โ the BCCI's highest individual recognition. Dravid, widely regarded as one of the greatest batters in Test cricket history, also guided India to the T20 World Cup title during his coaching tenure, making this honour a fitting tribute to a career spanning over two decades.
Smriti Mandhana and Mithali Raj Honoured
On the women's side, Smriti Mandhana was named the Best International Cricketer (Women) for her consistent performances throughout the season. Meanwhile, legendary former captain Mithali Raj received the BCCI Lifetime Achievement Award for Women, recognising her unparalleled contribution to Indian women's cricket over a career that saw her become the highest run-scorer in women's ODI history.
T20 World Cup Champions Felicitated
The ceremony also served as a platform to felicitate the Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian squad that clinched the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 title. India defeated New Zealand by 96 runs in the final at Ahmedabad on March 8, marking a dominant campaign that saw the hosts remain unbeaten throughout the tournament.
How to Watch
The BCCI Naman Awards 2026 ceremony is being telecast live on the Star Sports network. Live streaming is available on the JioStar app and website. The event started at 6:45 PM IST.
