Investigation into PSLV failures ‘ongoing’, next launch date in June: Minister

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is currently investigating the recent failures of its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV), a cornerstone of India's space capabilities. Since its inaugural launch in 1993, the PSLV has achieved an impressive success rate of over 90%, successfully deploying nearly 350 satellites into their designated orbits. These failures, which have raised concerns about the reliability of the PSLV, are under thorough scrutiny, as confirmed by the Minister of State for Space. The investigation aims to identify any technical anomalies and implement corrective measures. Despite these setbacks, ISRO remains optimistic, with plans for the next PSLV launch scheduled for June. This upcoming launch is seen as a critical step in restoring confidence in the PSLV's capabilities, which have been pivotal in advancing India’s position in the global space sector. The PSLV has been instrumental in various missions, including launching satellites for both domestic and international clients, thus playing a vital role in India's space exploration and technology development efforts.
