A recent analysis by ETMutualFunds has revealed that twelve equity mutual funds have achieved a net asset value (NAV) exceeding Rs 1,000, demonstrating impressive compounded annual growth rates (CAGR) of up to 24% since their inception. Most of these funds, 11 to be precise, have been operational for over 25 years, with the Sundaram Mid Cap Fund being the exception at nearly 24 years. The funds span various categories, including midcap, flexicap, ELSS, largecap, and large & midcap. Notably, the Nippon India Growth Mid Cap Fund leads the pack with an NAV of Rs 4,312.44 and a CAGR of 22.08% since its establishment in 1995. Other significant performers include the Franklin India Mid Cap Fund and HDFC Flexi Cap Fund, which also delivered strong returns. This performance underscores the potential for long-term wealth creation through equity mutual funds, particularly for investors looking to diversify their portfolios. As market conditions fluctuate, these funds may remain attractive options for investors seeking robust returns over extended periods.
