40 Lakh Women Get Rs 9,000 Each In Assam Under Arunodoi Scheme

In a significant boost to women empowerment, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the distribution of financial aid under the Arunodoi Scheme, benefitting 40 lakh women across the state. Each recipient will receive Rs 9,000, aimed at alleviating poverty and promoting financial independence among women. The virtual distribution event took place at the Jyoti Bishnu Antarjatik Kala Mandir auditorium in Khanapara, Guwahati, where the Chief Minister highlighted the government's commitment to improving the socio-economic status of marginalized communities.
