AI improving productivity of Indians: Report

A recent survey by Randstad Workmonitor highlights a significant transformation in India's workforce, driven by increased AI adoption and changing expectations for workplace flexibility and autonomy. Despite global economic uncertainties, 95% of Indian employers express confidence in business growth for the coming year, with 79% of professionals feeling optimistic about their organizations' futures—far exceeding the global average of 51%. However, economic pressures are prompting 58% of Indian professionals to consider or take on second jobs to cope with rising living costs. The report reveals that 89% of Indian workers believe AI enhances their productivity, aligning with the views of 60% of employers. Trust and collaboration are pivotal in workplace culture, with 89% of employees trusting their leadership and 88% trusting their colleagues. Despite these positive sentiments, 85% of employers recognize that hybrid and remote work models pose challenges for collaboration, underscoring the need for effective engagement strategies.
