Bangladesh Receives Diesel from India Via Pipeline Amid Ongoing Crisis in West Asia

In a strategic move to bolster its energy supplies amidst ongoing geopolitical tensions in West Asia, Bangladesh has commenced receiving diesel from India via a dedicated pipeline. According to a spokesperson for the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC), the transfer of approximately 5,000 tonnes of diesel is expected to take around 45 hours, with the operation likely concluding by Wednesday evening. This initiative underscores the growing energy collaboration between India and Bangladesh, particularly in light of recent disruptions in oil supplies due to the crisis in West Asia. As Bangladesh continues to navigate its energy requirements, the timely delivery of diesel from India is anticipated to provide much-needed relief to its fuel-dependent sectors, ensuring the smooth functioning of transportation and essential services. This development reflects the strengthening ties between the two nations and their commitment to addressing energy security challenges through cooperative measures.
