Delhi Launches Online Application For Private School Seats Under RTE Quota

The Delhi Education Department has commenced online applications for admissions under the Right to Education (RTE) quota, targeting Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Disadvantaged Groups (DG), and Children with Special Needs (CWSN). This initiative is aimed at facilitating access to private unaided schools for the academic year 2026-27, specifically for Nursery, Kindergarten (KG), and Class 1. Parents and guardians are encouraged to apply through the official portal, with the application window open until March 16, 2026. This move is part of the government's broader efforts to ensure equitable education opportunities for all children, especially those from marginalized backgrounds. The RTE Act mandates that a certain percentage of seats in private schools be reserved for these groups, promoting inclusivity in education. As the deadline approaches, officials are urging timely submissions to streamline the admission process and ensure that deserving students do not miss out on this opportunity. The online application system aims to simplify the admission process and enhance transparency in the allocation of seats under the RTE quota.
