Haryana unveils manufacturing mega push
Haryana is launching an ambitious initiative to establish itself as a global manufacturing powerhouse through the 'Make in Haryana for the World' framework. This comprehensive policy includes capital subsidies, employment-linked incentives, and tailored packages designed to enhance competitiveness across various sectors. Amit Agarwal, the state's industries and commerce secretary, highlighted that Haryana's economic performance, with a GSDP of $79 billion and an annual real GDP growth rate of 6.8%, lays a robust foundation for this initiative. Despite its small geographical footprint, Haryana significantly contributes to India's economy, accounting for 7.1% of the national GST collections. The state benefits from a strong working-age population, high per capita income, and strategic location within the National Capital Region (NCR), ensuring excellent connectivity to major markets and infrastructure projects. With over 40,000 hectares of industrial land and clusters in diverse sectors like automotive, textiles, and pharmaceuticals, Haryana aims to simplify investment processes, encouraging innovation and job creation. This proactive approach is expected to attract large-scale investments and solidify Haryana's standing as one of India's leading manufacturing hubs.
