Head, Green, Inglis set for Shield return after T20 World Cup exit

Following Australia's early exit from the T20 World Cup, several key players are set to make their return to domestic cricket in the Sheffield Shield. Among those coming back are Head, Green, and Inglis, who are expected to bolster their respective teams. Notably, Connolly, Renshaw, Bartlett, Abbott, and Kuhnemann will also return to the Shield format after their World Cup campaign. However, former captain Steve Smith will not be available for selection, leaving a gap in the lineup. This shift comes as teams prepare for the domestic season, aiming to capitalize on the experience gained during the global tournament. The return of these players is anticipated to significantly impact the competition as they seek to regain form and contribute to their state teams' success in the Shield.
