Heatwave: IMD Issues Warning For Several States; Mumbai, Ahmedabad On Yellow Alert - Check Forecast

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave warning for several states, including a yellow alert for major cities like Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Temperatures in parts of Madhya Maharashtra, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and East Madhya Pradesh have surged, reaching between 35°C and 38°C. The IMD forecasts that these elevated temperatures will continue, stressing the need for residents to take precautions against heat-related illnesses. As summer progresses, the rising mercury is expected to affect daily life and health across the affected regions. Authorities are advising people to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activities during peak heat hours. This warning comes as India experiences a prolonged hot spell, prompting concerns about the impact on vulnerable populations and agricultural activities. The IMD's alerts aim to keep the public informed and safe during this challenging weather period.
