Maharashtra Govt. Announces Ladki Bahin Yojana To Continue

The Maharashtra government has confirmed the continuation of the Ladki Bahin Yojana, aimed at supporting female beneficiaries in the state. As part of its broader agricultural policy, the government has also unveiled a significant loan waiver scheme for farmers. Under this initiative, crop loans up to Rs 2 lakh will be fully written off for eligible farmers, with the cutoff date for this waiver set for September 30, 2025. This decision is expected to alleviate the financial burden on farmers, many of whom have faced challenges due to fluctuating crop prices and adverse weather conditions. By ensuring that women also benefit from this scheme, the government aims to empower female entrepreneurs and promote gender equality in farming and related sectors. The Ladki Bahin Yojana is seen as a vital step in sustaining agricultural development while enhancing the role of women in the economy, ultimately contributing to Maharashtra's overall growth and stability.
