MCA launches women's edition of T20 Mumbai League

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has announced the launch of a women’s edition of the T20 Mumbai League, marking a significant step towards promoting women's cricket in India. The inaugural season will feature three teams, which are backed by notable companies: PRS Infraprojects LLP, Roadway Solution India Infra Ltd, and World Star Sporting Private Limited. This initiative aims not only to provide a competitive platform for female cricketers but also to enhance visibility and support for women's sports in the region. The league is part of a broader movement to encourage women's participation in cricket, which has been gaining momentum across the country. The MCA’s move is expected to inspire young female athletes and contribute to the growth of women's cricket, aligning with India's ongoing efforts to improve gender parity in sports. With the establishment of this league, the MCA hopes to tap into the growing interest in women's cricket and foster a new generation of female cricketers who will shine on both national and international stages.
