Nasscom urges IT companies to avoid Middle East travel, moots remote work as US-Iran war widens
In light of escalating tensions in the Middle East, Nasscom, the National Association of Software and Service Companies, has advised its member IT firms to refrain from sending employees to the region. The ongoing conflict related to the US-Iran situation has raised significant safety concerns, prompting Nasscom to recommend that companies adopt remote work arrangements for their staff currently based in or traveling to the Middle East. This precautionary measure aims to ensure the wellbeing of employees amid the uncertainty surrounding regional stability. As the geopolitical landscape evolves, Nasscom's guidance reflects a proactive approach to employee safety, echoing similar practices adopted by global companies facing similar crises. The organization has encouraged its members to closely monitor the developments and prioritize the safety of their workforce during these turbulent times.
