NHAI Revises FASTag Annual Pass Fee to Rs 3,075 Starting April 2026

NHAI raises FASTag annual pass fee by Rs 75 to Rs 3,075 for FY2026-27, effective April 1. The pass covers 200 toll crossings across 1,150+ highway plazas nationwide.
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced a revision in the FASTag Annual Pass fee, raising it from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,075 for the financial year 2026-27. The updated fee structure will come into effect on April 1, 2026, under the provisions of the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008.
What Changes for FASTag Users
The revised pricing applies exclusively to non-commercial vehicles equipped with a valid FASTag. The annual pass remains operational across approximately 1,150 toll plazas on National Highways and National Expressways. NHAI reports that over 56 lakh vehicle owners currently use the annual pass facility, reflecting strong adoption since its launch.
How the FASTag Annual Pass Works
The annual pass allows motorists to make a single payment covering either one full year of travel or up to 200 toll plaza crossings — whichever is reached first. This eliminates the need for repeated FASTag recharges, offering a cost-effective solution for frequent highway commuters.
Activation is handled digitally through the Rajmarg Yatra mobile app or the official NHAI website. Once the fee is paid, the pass becomes active within two hours on the existing FASTag linked to the vehicle — no physical visit or paperwork required.
Growing Adoption Since Launch
The FASTag Annual Pass was first introduced on August 15, 2025, and has seen significant uptake among private vehicle owners. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways noted that the pass provides a "greater convenience and cost-effective travel option" for regular National Highway users across India.
With the modest Rs 75 increase — roughly a 2.5% hike — the scheme continues to offer substantial savings for drivers who frequently use toll roads, compared to paying per-trip toll charges throughout the year.
