Noida International Airport in Jewar gets aerodome license by DGCA, to soon begin operations

The Noida International Airport in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, has received its aerodrome license from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), marking a significant milestone towards its operational readiness. Developed by Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL), a subsidiary of Zurich Airport International AG, the airport is part of a public-private partnership (PPP) initiative involving both the state and central governments. This project is set to enhance connectivity in the National Capital Region (NCR) and is expected to play a pivotal role in promoting economic growth in the region. With the issuance of the aerodrome license, the airport is now one step closer to beginning operations, furthering the vision of establishing a world-class aviation hub in India. The facility is anticipated to cater to millions of passengers annually, significantly easing the burden on existing airports in Delhi and surrounding areas, and boosting tourism and local business activities. As construction progresses, stakeholders remain optimistic about the airport's potential to transform travel and trade in northern India.
