Punjab Board Announces Online Evaluation System For 2026 Board Exams

The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has introduced an online evaluation system, named OSM, for the upcoming 2026 board exams. This innovative approach follows a successful pilot run during the recent supplementary exams, where approximately 23,000 answer sheets were evaluated digitally. Each answer sheet was equipped with unique QR-coded pages, facilitating a streamlined and efficient grading process. The board aims to enhance transparency and reduce the time taken for results to be declared, addressing previous concerns regarding manual evaluation delays. This initiative aligns with the ongoing digital transformation in education, which aims to improve the quality of assessments and promote a more effective educational environment. The PSEB's decision reflects a broader trend in Indian education towards integrating technology, ensuring that the examination process is not only modernized but also more reliable and accessible for students across the state.
