T20 WC final: Ahmedabad airfares go for a 6
As the T20 World Cup final between India and New Zealand approaches, airfares to Ahmedabad have soared due to heightened demand from cricket fans. The price of flights from major cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru has seen an alarming spike; for instance, a usual fare of around Rs 3,000 from Mumbai has escalated to between Rs 15,000 and Rs 17,000. In response to this surge, the Indian Railways has stepped in to facilitate travel by introducing special trains to Ahmedabad. The Western Railways announced an AC Superfast Special train that will operate from Bandra Terminus to Ahmedabad, while the Northern Railway is also running a dedicated service from New Delhi to accommodate the influx of fans. These initiatives aim to alleviate the travel challenges faced by thousands eager to witness the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium. With the event generating significant excitement, officials anticipate that these additional services will provide essential support for last-minute travelers looking to partake in this cricketing spectacle.
