Tata Electronics, Qualcomm in major new deal

Qualcomm Technologies has partnered with Tata Electronics to establish a manufacturing operation for Qualcomm Automotive Modules in Assam, aimed at meeting the growing global demand for modular automotive platforms. This collaboration aligns with the Indian government's Make in India initiative, as production will take place at Tata Electronics' new semiconductor assembly and test facility in Jagiroad. The initiative will enhance India's manufacturing capabilities in advanced automotive electronics and localize the production of vital technologies used in digital cockpits, infotainment systems, and intelligent vehicle platforms.
