Tata reveals price of Punch EV facelift
Tata Motors has officially launched the facelift version of the Punch EV for 2026, marking its first significant upgrade since its initial introduction. The updated electric SUV features enhanced design elements, advanced technology, and an extended real-world driving range of approximately 355 km, with an ARAI-certified range of 468 km. Notably, the Punch EV facelift comes with a groundbreaking lifetime battery warranty, which is unlimited in terms of kilometers. This initiative aims to address the primary concerns of potential EV buyers, such as affordability, range anxiety, and battery assurance. Tata Motors' Managing Director, Shailesh Chandra, emphasized that the Punch EV facelift is designed to democratize electric vehicle adoption in India. The vehicle is equipped with a 40 kWh battery pack that allows for quick charging—achieving a 20-80% charge in just 26 minutes. Safety features have also been upgraded, now including six airbags and intelligent detection alerts. Bookings opened today, with deliveries expected to commence soon. The Punch EV facelift is available in multiple vibrant colors, catering to diverse consumer preferences. Tata's innovative partnerships, such as with Hopcharge for convenient charging solutions in Delhi NCR, further enhance the ownership experience. This model is positioned to be not only a first EV for many buyers but also a reliable family car, aligning with Tata's vision for mainstream electric vehicle adoption in India.
