Uttarakhand Launches e-Swasthya Dham for Real-Time Pilgrim Health Monitoring During Char Dham Yatra 2026

Uttarakhand has launched the e-Swasthya Dham portal for real-time health monitoring of Char Dham Yatra pilgrims. The system covers 177 ambulances, 25 medical relief posts, and 33 health screening points along the pilgrimage routes.

The Uttarakhand government has launched the e-Swasthya Dham portal to provide real-time health monitoring for pilgrims undertaking the Char Dham Yatra this season. The initiative ensures that medical assistance can be mobilised instantly whenever a pilgrim requires help along the sacred routes.

Comprehensive Medical Infrastructure Along Yatra Routes

Experienced doctors and paramedical staff will be stationed at both permanent and temporary medical units spread across pilgrimage routes, major halting points, and at all four Dhams. A total of 177 ambulances have been deployed to handle emergencies, including 108 emergency service ambulances, advanced life support (ALS) ambulances, and cardiac ambulances.

Additionally, a boat ambulance will operate in Tehri, and a helicopter ambulance will be on standby, operated through AIIMS Rishikesh. Health Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat emphasised that ambulance response times along Yatra routes will be kept to a minimum to ensure timely medical care for devotees.

Health Screening and Relief Posts

A network of 25 medical relief posts and 33 health screening points has been established along the pilgrimage routes. At these points, health check-ups will be conducted for all pilgrims and treatment provided on the spot if needed.

Specialist Staff on Rotational Deployment

To maintain consistent quality of care throughout the Yatra season, the following medical personnel will be deployed on a 15-day rotational roster:

  • 16 specialist doctors
  • 46 medical officers
  • 85 paramedical staff
  • 100 health volunteers

The e-Swasthya Dham portal will integrate data from all these posts and ambulances, enabling authorities to track pilgrim health in real time and coordinate emergency response efficiently.
