Amid LPG shortage, Bengaluru PGs Told To Ban Dosa, Chapathi, Poori

In response to a significant shortage of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and commercial cooking gas, the PG Owners Welfare Association in Bengaluru has issued an advisory to owners of paying guest accommodations. The association has recommended the temporary suspension of cooking certain popular dishes, specifically dosa, chapathi, and poori, which require extensive gas usage. This measure aims to conserve gas supplies and mitigate the impact of the ongoing scarcity. The advisory comes at a time when Bengaluru is experiencing rising demand for LPG, compounded by supply chain disruptions. The situation has prompted concerns among the residents of PG accommodations, who may face limited meal options as a result. The PG Owners Welfare Association's initiative reflects a broader trend in the region as gas shortages affect various sectors, raising questions about future availability and pricing of essential cooking resources. Stakeholders are encouraged to explore alternative cooking methods and energy sources to alleviate the crisis. As the city grapples with these challenges, the advisory serves as a crucial step in managing resources efficiently during a difficult period for many households reliant on gas for daily cooking needs.
