APAAR ID must for Class 9, 11 registration: CBSE

Starting from the 2026-27 academic session, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that students must possess a 12-digit Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID to register for classes 9 and 11. This new policy is aimed at streamlining the registration process and enhancing the overall management of student data. The introduction of the APAAR ID aligns with the CBSE's ongoing efforts to digitize educational administration and improve transparency. Students and parents are advised to ensure that they obtain this ID well in advance to avoid any registration issues. The move reflects the board's commitment to modernizing education and ensuring that academic records are easily accessible and properly maintained. Further details are expected to be released by the CBSE to assist stakeholders in adapting to this requirement.
