'Broken seats, screens not working': Punjab MP writes to aviation minister over Air India's international flights

Gurjeet Singh Aujla, the Member of Parliament from Amritsar, has formally reached out to the Union Minister for Civil Aviation, urging an immediate inspection of Air India's international flight services. His concerns focus particularly on routes connecting India to Canada, Australia, the UK, and the US, where he has reported an alarming decline in service quality. Aujla highlighted issues such as broken seats and malfunctioning screens, which he argues are unacceptable for passengers, especially those from the Indian diaspora who pay premium fares for these flights. He emphasized the need for a comprehensive overhaul of the airline's fleet to ensure that the comfort and safety of travelers are prioritized. Aujla's appeal comes amidst growing dissatisfaction among passengers regarding the quality of service provided by Air India, a carrier that has long been a staple for the Indian community abroad. His advocacy reflects a broader concern about the importance of reliable air travel services in maintaining connections with the global Indian diaspora, which plays a critical role in India's economic and cultural landscape.
