Chinese GoPro camera used in Pahalgam attack: NIA probe

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has linked a GoPro Hero 12 camera, used in the Pahalgam terror attack in April 2025, to a Chinese distributor. This development has led the NIA to seek judicial assistance to further investigate the supply chain and the circumstances surrounding the camera's acquisition. The Pahalgam incident, which resulted in significant casualties, has raised alarms over the use of foreign-made equipment in terrorist activities within India. The agency's findings highlight the need for enhanced scrutiny of imported goods that may be utilized in acts of violence. This investigation is part of broader efforts to clamp down on the financing and tools used by terrorist organizations operating in the region. The NIA aims to uncover any networks that may have facilitated the attack, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in counter-terrorism efforts.
