CISCE cancels all remaining Class 10, 12 exams in UAE, says results to be as per ‘alternative assessment mechanism’

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has officially canceled all remaining Class 10 and 12 examinations for students in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This decision comes in light of ongoing challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which have impacted educational schedules and safety protocols. CISCE's chief executive announced that results for affected students will be generated through an 'alternative assessment mechanism,' with further details on this process to be disclosed soon. This alternative approach aims to ensure that students receive fair evaluations despite the lack of traditional examinations. The cancellation of exams in the UAE reflects a broader trend among educational institutions to adapt to unprecedented circumstances while prioritizing student welfare and academic integrity. Students and parents are urged to stay updated on the developments regarding the assessment criteria and timelines for result announcements, which are expected to be clarified in the coming weeks.
