Delhi Faces Water Supply Disruption For 2 Days: Check Affected Areas

Residents of Delhi are set to experience significant water supply disruptions for two days as the Delhi Jal Board undertakes essential infrastructure work. The disruptions are a result of the connection of a new large water pipe, measuring 1500 mm in diameter, to the existing main pipeline at the Dwarka Water Treatment Plant located in Bhagya Vihar. This upgrade is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the city’s water supply system, which has been under strain due to increasing demand and aging infrastructure. Areas expected to be affected by the water shortage include parts of Dwarka, Uttam Nagar, and other adjacent localities. The Delhi Jal Board has advised residents to store adequate water in advance and has assured that measures are being taken to minimize the inconvenience. This development highlights the challenges faced by urban infrastructure as cities expand and the importance of upgrading facilities to meet contemporary demands.
