'Don't panic, please': Govt urges consumers not to panic book LPG cylinders amid shortage fears

In light of recent concerns over potential shortages of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), the Indian government has reassured consumers that there are sufficient stocks available. Officials are urging the public not to engage in panic buying, which could exacerbate the situation and lead to undue shortages. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas emphasized that the supply chain remains stable and that there is no need for consumers to overbook cylinders. This message comes as some regions have reported increased demand, raising fears of a supply crunch. The government aims to maintain calm among consumers and ensure that LPG remains accessible for all households. To further alleviate concerns, officials are monitoring the situation closely and are prepared to take additional measures if necessary to ensure a steady supply of LPG across the country. The government’s proactive stance seeks to balance public demand with the existing inventory levels, thereby preventing any unnecessary disruptions in service.
