Karnataka home minister warns of legal action on LPG hoarding and black marketing

In response to ongoing supply disruptions linked to the conflict in West Asia, Karnataka's Home Minister has issued a stern warning against the hoarding and black marketing of LPG cylinders. The minister highlighted the growing concerns over the illegal stockpiling of liquefied petroleum gas, which could exacerbate the current shortages faced by consumers. He emphasized that strict legal action would be taken against individuals and businesses found engaging in such malpractices. The warning comes at a critical time when the state is grappling with increased demand for LPG due to rising fuel prices and the need for alternative energy sources. The government aims to ensure that all consumers have access to affordable and reliable gas supplies while deterring any attempts to manipulate the market for profit. This initiative reflects the administration's commitment to maintaining public order and consumer protection amidst a challenging geopolitical landscape.
