Month after govt formation, Manipur dy CM yet to set up office in capital Imphal

A month after the formation of the Manipur government, Deputy Chief Minister Yumnam Joykumar Singh has yet to establish his office in Imphal. Singh, who was unable to travel to the state capital for his oath-taking ceremony on February 5, was sworn in virtually from Manipur Bhawan in Delhi. This delay in setting up his office has raised concerns about the functioning of the state government and the administration's responsiveness to local issues. Critics argue that the absence of a physical office could hinder effective governance and communication with the public. As Singh’s responsibilities as Deputy Chief Minister expand, the urgency for him to settle in Imphal becomes increasingly apparent. The situation highlights the challenges faced by local leaders in balancing administrative duties with the logistical difficulties that arise from such circumstances.
