In a recent session of the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Corporate Affairs, Harsh Malhotra, revealed significant data regarding the participation of various social groups in the Prime Minister's Interaction with Students (PMIS) initiative. According to Malhotra, over 42% of the participants belong to the Other Backward Classes (OBCs), highlighting the program's outreach to marginalized communities. Additionally, the representation of women stands at 31%, indicating a concerted effort to include diverse voices in educational dialogues. The statistics were disclosed in response to a query posed by Congress MP Mukul Wasnik, emphasizing the government's commitment to social representation in its initiatives.
