Two metro stations in Delhi renamed, names of 7 others modified

In a recent announcement, the Delhi government has officially renamed two metro stations and modified the names of seven others to better reflect their local identities. North Pitampura is now designated as Haiderpur Village, while Pitampura has been changed to Madhuban Chowk. These alterations aim to enhance the cultural significance of the metro stations and connect them more closely with their respective neighborhoods. The adjustments are part of a broader initiative to make public transport more relatable to residents and to celebrate the local heritage of various areas in the capital. This move is expected to facilitate better navigation for commuters and strengthen community ties within the metropolitan framework.
